#4 – November 23, 2017: Cowboys look like turkeys on Thanksgiving

In the midst of Elliott’s suspension, back-to-back losses to Atlanta and Philadelphia could be somewhat excusable. The Falcons are the reigning conference champions while the Eagles have the NFC’s best record this year.

Losing to the Chargers, coming in with a 4-6 record, was inexcusable, however. Getting beat down for the third straight week earns the number four spot in this dubious countdown.

Dallas was supposed to be built for games like this, regardless of Elliott’s presence or lack thereof. Los Angeles owns the worst rushing defense in the NFL.

The Cowboys own one of the best offensive lines, along with a three-time 1,000 yard rusher as their backup running back.

Somehow, in a game that was 3-0 at the half, Dallas only ran the ball 20 times the whole game. Alfred Morris was given just nine rushes, five of which came before halftime. Meanwhile, facing a top five passing defense, Prescott threw 14 times for a pathetic 52 yards as the teams headed to break.

In what was a theme for the season, the Chargers came back out of the locker room playing much better. The Cowboys did not. Los Angeles scored four touchdowns to the Cowboys one in a 28-6 blowout that should never have been.
