#5 – September 17, 2017: Cowboys endure mile-high embarrassment in Denver
I almost put the Rams loss here but at least Los Angeles is a division winner, heading to the playoffs. Denver, at best, will end the season with just six wins.

Maybe we should have known all along that this was going to be a lost season after week two. After a dominating home victory over division rival New York, the Cowboys hit the road. The road hit back.
Dallas was blown out of the building in a demoralizing display that exposed serious flaws in this offense. Ezekiel Elliott ran for just eight yards on nine carries. Dak Prescott threw a ridiculous fifty times, with little to no success. It was all bad on the offensive side of the ball.
Meanwhile, the defense made Trevor Siemian look like the second coming of John Elway, forcing just 10 incompletions and allowing four touchdown passes.
This was a dismantling that Dak & Zeke had yet to experience as professionals. In the three losses they were a part of up to this point, the worst was by just three points. Sadly, this embarrassing 42-17 result would not be an outlier.
