With the 2017 NFL regular season winding down this weekend, here are the five biggest matchups for the Dallas Cowboys in 2018.

As the disappointing regular season ends this weekend for the Dallas Cowboys, fans shift their focus to the hope of 2018. And now that we know which opponents America’s Team will face off against next season, we can start to determine which of those games will be the most anticipated matchups of next year.

Although we will not know the exact date and times of these games until next April, our excitement level is much higher for some of these matchups more than others. Therefore, here are our five most anticipated Cowboys games for 2018.

#5. Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans

Despite what many Houston Texans’ fans want to believe, there is no in-state rivalry between the two Texas teams. But maybe this is the game that will spark that fire. Regardless, when the Cowboys come the H-Town, it’s a big deal. And the Texans should have their young, dynamic quarterback back under center. So, we should expect an appropriate shootout … maybe at high noon?

#4. New Orleans Saints @ Dallas Cowboys

It’s surprising these two teams don’t have a bigger rivalry due to their relative close proximity. But the Saints high-octane offense should test this young Cowboys defense when these clubs square off at AT&T Stadium next year. At the very least, it should be a really fun game to watch.

#3. Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons

One of the biggest reasons the Cowboys will be watching the playoffs this season instead of participating in them is due to their inability to beat the Falcons. Dallas suffered that depressing 27-7 loss in Atlanta back in Week 10. Returning to the scene of the crime in 2018, Dallas will have a chance at quick redemption.

#2. Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

Whenever the Cowboys have a chance to topple the former NFC East champions, it’s sweet. When they can do so in their opponent’s house, it’s even more so. Dallas has played well in Philly in the past, and doing so again next season should cement their dominance in the division.

#1. Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks

The wounds from the Cowboys Week 16 loss to the Seahawks are still fresh. So it will be an opportunity for sweet revenge next year when these two face off up north in 2018. And who knows? Maybe Dallas will be the ones to oust Seattle out of the postseason in their rematch.
