Dallas Cowboys: This Chief could quickly become a nightmare
If the Dallas Cowboys aren’t careful, this dream matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs could quickly turn into a nightmare because of this wildcard.
In many ways, the upcoming Kansas City Chiefs matchup is a dream scenario for the Dallas Cowboys. America’s Team has won two straight games, they are playing at AT&T Stadium and they’ll have running back Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield to face off against one of the worst run defenses in the entire NFL.
But if the Cowboys young, inexperienced defensive secondary isn’t careful, this dream matchup could quickly turn into a nightmare on Sunday afternoon.
Despite all the press that Chiefs rookie running back Kareem Hunt has received so far this season, the true wildcard in this contest could be Kansas City wide receiver Tyreek Hill. A former fifth round selection out of West Alabama, Hill is one of the fastest players in the NFL and a true overall weapon.
Last season, the 23-year old Hill actually recorded a kick return for a touchdown, a pass reception for a touchdown and a rushing touchdown … all in the same game! So far this year, Hill is second on the Chiefs in receiving, behind tight end Travis Kelce.
The speedster has recorded 38 catches on 55 targets for 553 yards and three scores in 2017 so far. Hill averages a whopping 14.6 yards per reception. He also puts up 69.1 receiving yards per game, which is the 13th most in the NFL.
One Cowboys insider recently pointed out what the talented Hill brings to the table and what Dallas fans can expect to see from him on gameday.
"“As a receiver, Hill a nightmare to deal with due to his speed,” football analyst Bryan Broaddus explained on DallasCowboys.com. “He is so sudden in the way that he plays. He can close the cushion in a hurry when he is facing off coverage. He runs by defenders in a flash. I guarantee that Reid will take a shot down the field with him, if not several. These Cowboys corners and safeties are going to have to be aware of where he is on the field.”"

Tyreek Hill is going to be a difficult matchup for the Dallas Cowboys young secondary. With tight end Travis Kelce as the Chief’s top receiving option, Hill is a lightning fast receiver who will look to burn the Cowboys’ young corners like Anthony Brown and rookie Jourdan Lewis for big gains. If Dallas isn’t careful, this young Chief could break the contest wide open.
