Dallas Cowboys: Five players who will shine against the 49ers
By Tim Kohut
Which Dallas Cowboys players will step up against a struggling San Francisco 49ers team this Sunday, in their important Week Seven matchup?
The Dallas Cowboys come out of their bye week 2-3, and look to get back to .500 with a big performance against the 0-6 San Francisco 49ers. Despite being winless, this 49ers team cannot be discounted, especially by an inconsistent Dallas team.
Take a look at which players I believe could have potentially have big games for the ‘Boys in their critical Week Seven matchup.
Sean Lee
Sean Lee certainly can’t be happy about how the Cowboys defense fared during his absence. Lee was reportedly chippy all week during the Cowboys’ practice and will bring that intensity to the field when he returns this Sunday. Look for Lee to be the x-factor that elevates this Cowboys defense to respectability.
Cole Beasley
Cole Beasley has had a down year, but he should get back on track against San Francisco’s questionable secondary. Beasley finally exploded against the Packers with two touchdowns in the first half, and he’ll extend that success against the 49ers. He might not score another two touchdowns, but he’ll be a reliable third-down option for quarterback Dak Prescott.
Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott could pretty much make this list every week, but the 49ers look like a particularly juicy opponent. Prescott should have another big game against a weak 49ers defense.
Jourdan Lewis
The outstanding early play of the rookie cornerback Jourdan Lewis played a role in the Cowboys’ comfortability with releasing veteran Nolan Carroll. Lewis has been the Cowboys’ best corner this season, and continues to get better every game. This week will be no exception.

David Irving
David Irving provided a much needed secondary pass rusher upon his return against the Green Bay Packers and exploded with two sacks. He’ll continue to dominate from both the interior defensive tackle position, and right end opposite of NFL sack leader Demarcus Lawrence.
