Coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, fans of the Dallas Cowboys are likely more sour today than two year old milk.

Despite all the things that are wrong with America’s Team, they are still arguably the most talented team in the NFC East and likely still playoff contenders.

Heading into the bye week, here are five positive takeaways fans can take a bit of solace in after back-to-back disappointing defeats.

#1. The return of Cole Beasley

Wasn’t it great to see slot receiver Cole Beasley getting involved in the offense once again? Prior to Sunday’s loss to the Packers, Beasley had recorded 11 catches for 86 yards and zero scores in four games.

This is the same player that led the Cowboys in receptions last season with a career-high 75 catches for 833 yards and five touchdowns.

On Sunday, Beasley splashed twice for two scores. It reminded us all that the Cowboys passing offense clicks best when multiple receivers are involved.

And the “Bease” is a weapon that must be utilized.
