Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back

Yes, this is an easy one. But it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Watching as player like running back Ezekiel Elliott is an every game-type thing. But consider the following…

One of the hottest topics of the season has been the play of Elliott, his offensive line and his legal issues. From being suspended for the first six games, to filing a restraining order to play, to being held to just eight rushing yards by the Denver Broncos; this has been a tough year for the former first rounder.

Through four games, Zeke has only rushed for more than 100 yards in a contest once. Elliott has 277 rushing yards, 116 receiving yards and three total touchdowns so far this season.

The 22-year old started showing signs of his old self last week against the Los Angeles Rams, rushing for 85 yards on 21 carries and making four catches for 54 yards. He also posted two of his three scores on the season against the Rams in the loss.

Elliott’s importance against the Packers is paramount, as Green Bay features the league’s fifth best passing defense, but is ranked a lowly 19th against the run. Zeke and this Cowboys offense must find success on the ground if they are going to defeat the Packers’ high-powered passing attack.
