With two ugly losses in four games, the Dallas Cowboys have diluted the offense by relying on a star players eat first mentality.

It’s not solely offensive flaws causing the Dallas Cowboys misfortune. There are glaring issues in all phases that must be addressed.

However, one can not turn a blind eye to the 2017 offense’s selfish mentality that’s neglecting the diverse attack the previous unit thrived behind.

Dallas has several weapons who can uniquely exploit a defense. Yet Dak Prescott is force feeding Ezekiel Elliott or Dez Bryant as much as possible.

Cole Beasley is suffering most from the changed mentality. With 11 receptions at the quarter mark, he’s on pace for 44 this season, 31 fewer than 2016.

Selfish football has also created uneven usage of other important secondary weapons like Jason Witten and Terrance Williams.

Witten had 22 target the first two games, with only six coming the last two.  In two losses, Williams had 51 total yards. He racked up 115 yards in the two wins.

Let’s dive into the narrowed target preference that’s handcuffing the Cowboys.
