Seven Dallas Cowboys whose stock is on the rise
Sean Lee, Linebacker
It’s hard to imagine Sean Lee’s stock could go any higher. But the two-time Pro Bowl linebacker seems to be getting better with age. Now 31-years old, Lee was absolutely the Cowboys defensive leader on Sunday.
Lee recorded a team-high eight total tackles against the Giants in Week One. And the veteran appears well on his way to another Pro Bowl bid this season.
Struggling with injuries in the early part of his professional career, Lee has been able to stay relatively healthy the past two seasons, playing in a total of 29 of a possible 32 games in that span.
Much of that can be credited to the Cowboys switching the veteran linebacker from middle to the weakside position in the linebacker corps, allowing Lee’s body to take less overall punishment.
Sean Lee has recorded a whopping 273 total tackles in the past two years. He’s one of the best linebackers in the NFL and he is at the very heart of the defensive resurgence in Dallas.
