When the Dallas Cowboys land a quarterback, everybody just loses their minds.

This doesn’t happen often. When America’s Team drafted Tony Romo‘s replacement, fans fast-forwarded to the future with Dak Prescott leading the charge.

Now, it appears the Boys have rushed themselves into another QB pool of talent.

Folks, we are just under three weeks before the season opener. Can’t wait? Me too. But let’s not hit the skip button just yet; there’s a lot of August football to discuss.

So, without further ado, let’s talk about what you need to know after Dallas beat Indianapolis last Saturday.

Is it too early to rush to Cooper Rush?

Admit it: There’s part of you that wants to put the brakes on the undrafted quarterback. Sure, he’s played in only three games, which happen to be preseason contests. He’s only 23, so there’s that too.

But is it really too much to be a little too excited about Rush? Nah. Who cares. I say let the joy fly.

Dallas Cowboys fans have had so many heart aches at the quarterback spot. Of course, I’m talking pre-Tony Romo days. Gosh. I never want to return to that era.

So, you know, be happy a little. Here’s how the six-foot-three rookie looked so far against these squads:

Cardinals: 8/18, 87 yards, 1 TD, 82.4 rating

Rams: 9/11, 104 yards, 1 TD, 136.4 rating

Colts: 8/9, 92 yards, 2 TDs, 148.8 rating
