Nine Dallas Cowboys that shined against the Colts
Finally, I thought it was only fair to mention rookie cornerback Dejaun Butler. The former Hawaii defensive back was just signed to the roster last week as the Cowboys simply needed some extra bodies in the secondary due to injuries.
Surprisingly, Butler managed to record four tackles in the game against the Colts. That’s a solid debut for a player who just joined the team five days before. In fact, DallasCowboys.com football analyst Bryan Broaddus liked what he saw from Butler during practice on Thursday and even made a note about it in his Scout’s Notebook.
With a room full of draft picks in the secondary, it’s unlikely a undrafted player like Butler makes the Cowboys 53-man roster. But he could certainly be a practice squad consideration. Regardless, #37 is one to watch for in the later half of the Cowboys final two preseason games.
