The fantasy football season is quickly approaching and the Dallas Cowboys will have some of the best players available this season. The offseason has brought a ton of change for not only the Cowboys but the NFL as a whole. Here we will explore how the team’s offseason changes have affected the Cowboys fantasy prospects.

Quarterback: Dak Prescott

A good place to start for this season is at quarterback, and with second-year starter, Dak Prescott it is certain that his growth will be a hot topic of conversation. So far this offseason we have seen a more accurate and precise Prescott as he has shown a staunch dedication to learning everything there is to know about his position and the game of football as a whole.

Surprisingly though his performance from 2016 has not really given him a boost in mock drafts. He is being selected anywhere from round seven-ten often with fellow breakout quarterback, Derek Carr still available.

Dak can hurt you with his arm and with his legs so he is one of the more intriguing quarterbacks available. While he is not likely to rack up significant yards on the ground, he could find himself in the end zone quite a bit.

There is a methodology to drafting quarterbacks and the most common perspective is to wait until there is a run at that position. Reaching for players like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers could be forgiven but realistically you could see the same level of production from Prescott later on during your draft.

The Cowboys star quarterback may not throw for as many touchdowns as Rodgers or Brady but their totals will be similar thanks in part to his ability to scramble and keep his eyes on the end zone.

Round(s) likely to be selected: 7-10
