9: Jason Witten – Tight End

It pains me to place Jason Witten this low on the list, considering his Hall of Fame worthy career and status as team captain. However, Father Time is undefeated and Witten isn’t getting any younger.

Regardless, Witten is still one of the better tight ends in the NFL and a great safety blanket for any quarterback. He can still create enough separation to get open and is still a good run blocker. While his statistics might continue to decrease this season, his importance to the offense will not.

8: Dak Prescott – Quarterback

Give it another year and Prescott should be higher up on the list. But for now he stays at the lower end of the list, as he continues to develop as a quarterback.

Prescott possess great poise, reads the entire field, has great mobility, utilizes all of his weapons, and is accurate in short and intermediate passing. However, he still has room to improve.

Prescott needs to improve upon his deep ball accuracy, ball security, and work on finding his receivers down the field. If he is able to do so, he has the ability and mindset to be the best quarterback in the NFL.

7: Cole Beasley – Slot Receiver

From undrafted free agent to arguably the best slot receiver in the NFL. Cole Beasley has become one of the best stories in the NFL.

Beasley was already one of the best slot receivers in the league, before teaming up with Prescott last season. Now, he’s one of the premier options in the Cowboys’ offense and is almost impossible to defend in the slot.

Because of his uncanny ability to get open, Beasley became Prescott’s favorite weapon last season. His production rose to career highs, and he gave opposing defensive coordinators nightmares when preparing to play Dallas. As he and Prescott continue to play together, expect Beasley to continue putting up impressive numbers.
