Seventh Round, 246th Overall. Colorado. JORDAN CARRELL, DT. C+.

Height: 6’2”
Weight: 290 lbs.
Combine 40 Speed/Vertical: 4.98/31 1/2
2016 Numbers: 46 total tackles, 6.0 tackles for a loss, 5.0 sacks

Analysis: I have to admit, I’m pulling for this kid. Despite being the Dallas Cowboys final selection in the draft, Colorado defensive tackle Jordan Carrell’s secret audio phone call was my favorite overall.

Carrell’s sincere reaction and thankfulness had me hoping he sees his dreams come true on the NFL level. But again, he’s walking into a very full locker room of defensive line players from day one. And the former Buffalo will have to fight and claw to try and get his name on this suddenly overcrowded depth chart.

Being able to play at either the one or three technique, Carrell is a strong kid that DallasCowboys.com’s Bryan Broaddus describes as an inside banger and a straight-up-the-field rusher. Again, another Rod Marinelli-special here, as the old ball coach loves a certain type of D-lineman. And Carrell seems to fit that bill.
