Defensive Backs Continued…

Later Rounds

Treston Decoud (Oregon State)/Xavier Woods (Louisiana Tech/Safety)/Tedric Thompson (Colorado/S)/Gareon Conley (Ohio State)

The safety class is pretty decent late into the draft as the Cowboys could look to find a hidden gem on day three. Gareon Conley has some off the field issues to clear up before he is slated to be drafted similar to that of Cowboys starting offensive lineman, La’el Collins. He could go undrafted  or fall to the later rounds.

The team has already met with Conley before said incident occurred so they could take a chance on him late depending on what they find out/what information comes out.

Wide Receiver

Curtis Samuel (Ohio State/RB)/JuJu Smith Schuster (USC)/Dede Westbrook (Oklahoma)/K.D. Cannon (Baylor)

This is where things get interesting, throughout the middle rounds of the draft the Cowboys could target a wide receiver namely one of the players above. All represent different phases of the draft as Samuel and Schuster are projected to go in the second round, Westbrook in the third, and Cannon in the fourth or later.

These guys could be alternatives if the Cowboys primary targets are not their. Westbrook specifically could be the favorite amongst this group. Samuel may be selected early and Schuster seemingly wants to stay in California. Cannon is the wildcard as he could be worth a flier in the later rounds.
