Third Round: Defensive lineman

DeMarcus Walker (Florida State)

Walker is an opportunistic pass rusher who can sack the quarterback in the right situation. He will need to work on his conditioning as he tends to struggle when he is tired both in reading plays but as well as utilizing proper pass rushing techniques. Walker would be worth a chance in the third round especially if the Cowboys ignored pass rusher for the first two picks.

Deatrich Wise Jr (Arkansas)

Long arms, big hands, capable of generating a lot of production when on the field. Only became a starter in his senior year but made the time he spent on the field count. Needs to work on his pass rushing techniques and footwork. Could be a reach in the third, but Jerry Jones likes his Arkansas guys.

Tanoh Kpassagnon (Villanova)

This is the David Irving of the draft. Kpassagnon has monstrous size but does not fully know how to utilize it yet. He is incredibly smart and has the “right kind of guy” mentality. He will need to grow into being a productive player on the field and the third round could be a little rich for him.

My Favorite: DeMarcus Walker

At the end of the day the Cowboys want a star pass rusher and the only place to find that is in the first round. If the players they want are not there they should move on to another position of need considering they can find quality players along the defensive line until about the fourth round. If the Cowboys do not draft a pass rusher one of these players below could be the reason why.
