Round 4, 133rd Overall – DeDe Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma

The one time Heismann candidate has tumbled down draft boards over personality and off-the-field concerns.  Per the aforementioned CBS Big Board, he’ll be available at 133.  If he is, the Cowboys should pull the trigger.

Westbrook has blazing deep speed, and could be an excellent complement to Dez Bryant.  I know the team re-signed Terrance Williams to a four year extension, but that shouldn’t prevent them from drafting a true playmaker.

Round 6, 211th Overall – Brandon Wilson, CB/RB, Houston

In college, Wilson played both corner and running back.  In the pros, my guess is he’ll play corner.  It’s the position he played most in college, and he has incredible athleticism for the position.

In a way, he reminds of Anthony Brown.  He stands at 5-foot-11, slightly shorter than the desired 6 foot mark.  But what he lacks in height, he makes up for in speed.  Wilson ran a 4.36 at his Pro Day. Anthony Brown ran a 4.35.

He could immediately contribute on special teams, and to me, he’s worth a gamble in the sixth round based on athleticism alone.

Round 7, 228th Overall (via BUF) – Jeremy Clark, CB, Michigan

After a solid but not spectacular 2015 season as a junior, Clark tore his ACL in 2016.  He wasn’t able to participate in any drills at the Combine other than bench press.  However, before his injury he showed promise at corner, and is built very well for the position.

At six-foot-four, 209 pounds, Clark is bigger than most wide receivers.  I’d be comfortable taking a chance on him here.

Round 7, 246th Overall – Jerry Ugokwe, OT, William & Mary

NFL.com described Ugokwe as a project with potential.  With no one else on the board that thrilled me, I just grabbed an offensive tackle to hopefully challenge Chaz Green and Byron Bell for Doug Free’s old spot.
