With only a week and half until the NFL Draft, we try to predict the Dallas Cowboys 2017 draft class, including a mega trade with the Cleveland Browns.

Last night, I managed to find some time to relax and watch a movie. I chose Draft Day. It’s an excellent film and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t watched it. But it got me thinking, boy would it be fun if the Dallas Cowboys made a major Draft Day trade themselves.

I recently wrote an article over at NFL Spin Zone, featuring five draft day trade scenarios the Cowboys may find themselves in. I’ll be borrowing the most likely scenario from that article for this mock draft.  So, let’s do it….

When the Cowboys are on the clock in the first round, 28th overall, I believe they’ll find themselves staring at DeShone Kizer, the enticing quarterback prospect from Notre Dame. Our friends over at Dawg Pound Daily seem to think the Browns may be interested in Kizer.

In this scenario, Cleveland decides to leapfrog the New Orleans Saints who sit at 32, and who may be looking to select Drew Brees’ heir. In the process, they net themselves a fifth-year option on their shiny new quarterback. And the Cowboys reap the benefits of a second and a third round pick in exchange.

Now that we have the trade squared away, let’s get to picking.
