ROUND 4, PICK 133: DE Daeshon Hall – Texas A&M

I just could not resist a home state guy with a great motor who is on the rise.  This area in the draft seems perfect for Hall as well so it’s no reach.

While he only played one year as a true rush end, that also means he hasn’t developed any bad habits.  A guy like this could be a nice piece of clay for defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli to mold.

The Cowboys do not have any selections in round five but do have one sixth round pick as well as two in the seventh.  These picks are usually fliers that you hope can push for a roster spot or provide immediate help in special teams.

I would like to see Dallas get a running back at some point in this area.  Beyond that, the above criteria will be on the menu.

ROUND 6, PICK 211: RB Tarik Cohen – North Carolina A&T

RD 7, PICK 228: CB Jeremy Clark – Michigan, PICK 246: OT Jerry Ugokwe – William & Mary

Cohen finished his career as the MEAC’s all-time leading rusher with 5,619 yards. He added 60 total touchdowns with all but three coming on the ground.

I don’t care what the level of play is, if you finish a career with those numbers, you can play.

At 6’3″ and 220 lbs., Clark has the size to be a dominate press coverage corner.  Again, his size should help him compete for a spot as Dallas loves big corners.

Finally, Ugokwe is a project that may pay dividends in a few years.  Growing up around this offensive line, a prospect could not have better mentors.

So, there you have it.  Feel free to leave your comments about this mock below.
