Dallas Cowboys Draft: A Perfect Three Round Mock?
By Carl Daley
Perfect Three Round Mock – Round #3
In the third round, the Cowboys should look to bring in the best player on their board. Yes, they still need a defensive end and that should outweigh any other position. And that may be the case.
Florida State’s DeMarcus Walker should be the best defensive end on the board and the Cowboys should look to select him however the prospects at wide receiver are pretty intriguing.
Wide receivers Zay Jones, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Amara Darboh, and Dede Westbrook could all be options with the third round selection. Westbrook has been given a fourth round grade but would the Cowboys take a risk on seeing a high ranked wide receiver fall through their fingers?
There is a decent chance that at least two of those wide receivers will make it to the fourth round plus KD Cannon should also be sitting there late in the draft. There is also the matter of Washington cornerback Sidney Jones who will likely miss the entire season with an Achilles tear.
Jones was the best cornerback in the draft and could be on the board in Day Three. If he is there, the Cowboys should take the risk and select him.

Now, the same may not be said about Michigan tight end Jake Butt, who will also miss the entire season but was slated as the best tight end in the draft prior to his injury.
My Selection: Toss up – Sidney Jones/Jake Butt/DeMarcus Walker
