Round 4 (132nd overall)

Chidobe Awuzie- Cornerback- Colorado

After rounds three and four in this mock, you have probably given up on being able to pronounce the names of everyone in this hypothetical draft class. Awuzie is a six foot tall, 205 pound fluid moving athlete that flips his hips well and has very good short area burst and foot quickness.

He is the ideal size to play outside in Rod Marinelli’s Tampa 2 system and moves well enough laterally where he could play inside if needed. The depth at the cornerback position helps the Cowboys snag a second round talent in the fourth.

MUST READ: The Dallas Cowboys should not pursue Pierre Garcon

Round 6 (212th overall)

Des Lawrence- Cornerback- North Carolina

Lawrence is a consistent competitor at corner that has ideal size to play the Tampa 2 system. His playing style is extremely similar to Brandon Carr, although Lawrence has slightly more long speed. Very good in press coverage and could thrive in cover 2 when he gets a full understanding of the system.

He is close to 6’1″ and 185 pounds and should run in the mid 4.4 range in the 40 yard dash. Physical tackler that sometimes goes for the big hit instead of the form tackle but overall a solid run defender.
