Seventh Round

And the Dallas Cowboys select…

Ryan Switzer, WR, North Carolina

The Cowboys head down the road from Raleigh, North Carolina to Chapel Hill, North Carolina and snag Ryan Switzer.  The Tar Heels love this player.  He is quick, shifty and an excellent route runner.  He reminds me a lot of what the Cowboys have in Cole Beasley.

In addition, he’s a very good kick returner.  I think he could be Lucky Whitehead‘s replacement, as he offers every Lucky does, and is a better receiver on top of that.

Seventh Round (again)

Big D has two selections in the seventh round, so, the Dallas Cowboys select…

Trey Hendrickson, DE, Florida Atlantic

I have the Cowboys selecting Hendrickson here based on production alone.  I haven’t gotten around to watching a ton of his tape, but in 2015 he had 13.5 sacks.  He followed that up in 2016 with 9.5 sacks.  Both years he had 15 tackles for loss.  Towards the tail end of the draft, I’m willing to take a player with those kind of stats.

Conclusion

I focused mainly on defense with this draft, as all but two picks were for that side of the ball.  I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below, just keep it respectful.  I’ll post an updated version in a few weeks once more college bowl games have been played and the Draft picture starts to clear up.  Go Cowboys!
