First Round

And the Dallas Cowboys select…

Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida

The Cowboys fill their number one need with their number one pick.  I think Quincy Wilson is one of the best corners in college football.  I’d honestly be surprised if he drops to the Cowboys at the end of the first round, but he’s being slept on now.  Until that changes, I’ll slot him to the ‘Boys.

Wilson checks in at 6’1″ and 210 pounds.  That gives him the size to match up with the biggest receivers on the outside.  He also has top notch speed, predicted to run somewhere in the 4.4 range in the 40-yard dash.

On tape, you’ll notice that Wilson is a very physical corner, with excellent footwork.  He uses his discipline and technique to stay with receivers and always be in position to make a play.  He does an excellent job tracking the quarterbacks eyes and making plays on the football.

The Gator has the skills to be a true shutdown corner in the NFL, and he would be an excellent addition to an improving Dallas defense.
