Chaz Green Looking a Little Red

Outside of quarterback and cornerback, I don’t think there is a more deserving position of praise and consideration than the left tackle spot.

Green, who missed much of last season due to injury, was the Cowboys third round pick in 2015 (91st overall). Entering his second season as a pro, the six-foot-fix, 318 pounder looked anything but a true NFL lineman.

He looked beat. Confused. Frustrated. Frankly, most of the time he looked several steps off.

Imagine putting your team’s finest product on the field. Would you trust Green to protect your 36-year-old quarterback, who is coming off a season in which he broke his clavicle twice?

Green was the blemish on the offensive line last week. But there’s three more preseason games to go, which is brilliant timing considering this 24-year-old lineman needs to shake some rust and catch back up to NFL speed.

Bottom line: Disappointed.
