WR – New York Giants, Week 1 & 14

Facing Odell Beckham Junior once a season would be enough. The Cowboys have the frustration of having him in their division thus battling him twice. The Giants though made their wide receiving corp potentially more devastating during the draft by selecting receiver Sterling Shepard.

They may not be tall powerful receivers, Beckham, Shepard and Victor Cruz are all 6ft or under. However the sheer athleticism of Beckham in particular is frightening. It’s hard to predict where they’ll lineup at any given time. Orlando Scandrick is the Cowboys best cornerback by a country mile, but he can’t cover them all!

"“We teach them all the spots. The more we can make our system schematically friendly so that guys aren’t necessarily locked in and dimed with this player or that player but just think big-picture so they have that versatility, it helps. Because ultimately, when guys start to become a factor, you move them around. Odell is a great example of that.” – Mike Sullivan, Giants Offensive Coordinator"

With such a dangerous vertical threat around the field, the key to victory versus the Giants will be to outscore them. It’s unrealistic to assume that the defense can hold them out in their entirety. Instead Romo and his trio of wide receivers alongside Jason Witten and Zeke Elliott will need to do their own damage.
