RB – Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings, Week 13

It seems like just yesterday that every news outlet was filled with speculation on Adrian Peterson joining the Cowboys. The addition of Ezekiel Elliott stops that dead in its tracks. Now the Cowboys need to find a way to limit the running back in Week 13 of the coming season.

It’s not easy to prepare for a seven-time Pro Bowler like Peterson. Only twice in nine seasons has he failed to notch at least 1000 yards- one of those years he played just one game. He ranks 4th in NFL history for rushing yards per game, with an average of 97.3.

Now 31 years old, people continue to predict a decline in what Peterson can do. Yet as he’s shown throughout his career, he’s a one of a kind. I won’t believe it till I see it. Until then, be grateful the Cowboys aren’t facing up until Week 13. By then the defense ought to be suspension free and (touchwood) in fine health.
