6.189: Cody Core, WR

With four picks in the sixth, the Cowboys can take a punt on a few guys. Forced into a lead role when teammate Laquon Treadwell got injured last year, Cody Core didn’t disappoint. From 37 receptions he had 644 yards and 4 touchdowns. A serial special teamer, he could compete for a spot on the roster even if it wasn’t alongside Dez Bryant.

6.212: Terrance Smith, LB

Terrance Smith is more likely to be an undrafted guy, but for the sake of the task here I’ve included him. With Sean Lee and Rolando McClain healthy there’s no need to worry about the linebacker corps, but keeping them both on the field for a season could be an impossible task.

Not dissimilar to Anthony Hitchens in his try hard approach. Smith won’t necessarily go on to be an NFL star, but he’s got the attitude to achieve something at this level.

6.216: Jay Lee, WR

Baylor receiver Jay Lee was one of those snubbed by the Combine after he failed to gain an invitation to Indianapolis back in February. Impressive practices at the Senior Bowl will have drawn looks from the Cowboys coaches.

6.217: Taveze Calhoun, CB

As a sixth round defensive back, Taveze Calhoun skills are somewhat different to that of Jalen Ramsey’s. In three years for Mississippi State Calhoun made over 150 tackles and had 6 interceptions.

As highlighted at the combine, his big problem is lack of speed. In a league against strong tall athletic and fast receivers he doesn’t match up especially well. That said, he’s completely the right kind of guy character Jason Garrett adores. More than likely camp fodder but good kid to have around.
