"“You look at what’s in the playoffs and who’s in the final four and who was in the final eight, you don’t see a lot of people in there with their backup quarterbacks in there really making significant differences in the playoffs. But what I do think we should be able to do is play better football than we played this year.” – Stephen Jones"

Had Romo not gotten hurt in 2015 clearly the impetus wouldn’t be on the team to draft a quarterback quite so urgently.

But there’s a very real possibility that the Cowboys spend their 4th overall draft pick on a quarterback come this draft.

With Jason Garret and his coaches currently coaching the North Roster of this weekends Senior Bowl, the eyes of the fans and media are on Carson Wentz of North Dakota State.

There’s real momentum to his hype train right now, he’s a talented kid with a strong arm and has all the tools physically required from an NFL quarterback.

"“I just think I have a unique set of physical abilities both throwing the ball and also with my feet, being able to make plays [with my arm] and also run the ball and move the chains with my feet. I also believe that I have a pretty good mental edge with the [pro-style] system we played in at NDSU. I feel like I can understand defenses and read things pretty well.” Carson Wentz"

Jason Garrett, Stephen Jones and co will have to be confident he’s the one to go and take him at atop of the first round.

"“I think everybody agrees, if the right guy is there then you got to take a long, hard look at it” – Stephen Jones"
