Analysis: I think the Cowboys have a good, young core of defensive ends. Where the need comes in is based on whether Dallas decides to re-sign controversial pass rusher Greg Hardy or not. At this point, I think it’s 50/50. If Hardy’s play continues to decline in the next coming weeks, the barrage of negative press and some of his own foolish actions while on the team would likely make an extension not worth it.

If Hardy is not retained, than a top-ten selection of a talented pass rushing defensive end is absolutely in play. If he is re-signed, than look for Dallas to simply add more depth to their line later in the draft, with veteran rusher Jeremy Mincey also being a free agent in 2016.

Dallas needs to get more out of Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence. And I believe they will. They could also a veteran or two from free agency to add a bit more stability to the position. In that vein, I think Vinny Curry could be a nice sleeper pick up by Dallas next offseason.
