August 23, 2015; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers nose tackle Mike Purcell (64) runs for a touchdown against Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dustin Vaughan (10) after an interception during the second quarter at Levi

The Bad:

Dustin Vaughan: Ever since Dustin Vaughan was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent I’ve been longing to be convinced of his future potential.

But the game in San Francisco made me question whether I ever will be.

Ending the game with a 20.8 passer rating and just 7 of 16 passes for 84 yards is pitiful.

Throwing a pick six to the 49ers 300lb defensive tackle just rounded those stats off nicely.

He stares down receivers, goes into panic mode at the sheer hint of pressure and doesn’t seem to have any idea what pocket presence is.

With Tony Romo as healthy as he’s been in a several years the just carry the two quarterbacks this season.

Take another linebacker, another guy for the defensive line rotation, a special teams expert.

But please, not Vaughan.
