Michael Praser (Bears)

"Okay, your team is worse, but they still have a mathematical  chance of making the playoffs. Unlike the Bears. In the  words of Jim Mora,”What’s that? Ah — Playoffs?!? Don’t talk about — playoffs?!? You kidding me?  Playoffs?!? I just hope we can win a game!” Back to the  game at hand. So, what scares you about the Bears?"

Christian Blood (Cowboys)

"Grizzly Bears scare me. Chicago Bears probably don’t scare anybody, just to be clear. What scares me is a Dallas defense that allowed … wait for it … Mark Sanchez of Philadelphia to post a 100-plus quarterback rating in a loss on Thanksgiving Day last week. I lose sleep over a defensive front that allowed McCoy to complete a humiliating 83% of his passes in another pathetic loss at “Jerry World” just before Halloween. It’s beyond alarming that an undrafted guy named Austin Davis lit up Dallas for over 300 yards in just his second NFL start back in Week 3 in St. Louis … it took Romo and the Dallas offense to squeak out a win in that game. It’s true that if the Bears defense doesn’t show up, this game could be a shootout. But remember that the Cowboys are 5-0 on the road but just 3-4 at home. Looks good for the Cowboys, right? Well, I’ve stood on Navy Pier in the month of February and that was one of the coldest experiences I have ever had, probably second behind a particular night in Berlin, Germany back in January 2003. I hated being bundled up in that weather and just can’t imagine playing football in it. Dallas is due to lose a road game and while the running game could be there to get a victory, I’m not at all convinced that the defense will be. The only prediction I’ll make right now is this: If the Bears beat Dallas, Jones will experience his first five-year stretch without a trip to the playoffs since buying the team in 1989. What do you suppose Jay Cutler is going to do?"

Michael Praser (Bears)

"I think that Jay Cutler is going to throw the ball, a lot. It is what he does. I don’t understand why the Bears have not run the ball more this year. They abandon the run like they are down by 21 points when they are only down by a touchdown. Cutler will also throw the ball to the Cowboys defense a few times. That is also something he does very well. As for my prediction, I know you think that the Bears are going to win, but I think the opposite. The Bears are just not good enough to beat anyone and the Cowboys are going to run the ball. They are going to run the ball and they are going to eat the clock and score points. Cutler will throw interceptions and the Cowboys will be undefeated on the road. It may be cold in Chicago, but the Bears are not a good football team. I hope you are right, believe me. I am not a Bears hater. I am just a realist now after seeing the Bears play bad football."

Christian Blood (Cowboys)

"Well, this is the first season since Bill Parcells was head coach that the Cowboys have had ANY inclination to run the football. In fact, your complaint about the Bears abandoning the run is precisely what we’ve been saying about the Cowboys for years, literally. Yes, the Bears could have real trouble with Romo & Co.  Then again, Cutler likely won’t have to throw the football too much since the Dallas run defense is getting worse now, not better. This unit has given up over 60 points in the last two games and since this is true, ask yourself this question: Why would Cutler throw picks against a pass rush that hardly exists? He’s had no trouble at all against Dallas in the last three matchups since 2010 and those included guys like Ware, Hatcher, Ratliff, etc. Finally, meaningful defensive ends like Tyrone Crawford, Jeremy Mincey, George Selvie and Anthony Spencer have 6.5 sacks on the year. The first guy on that list just got his first sack last week!  Melton, a defensive tackle, had 5.0 himself.  No reason for Cutler not to continue doing what he’s been doing to a Dallas defense that’s in just as much transition as your Cubs … sorry … Bears up there.
