The Dallas Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl!

Dallas Cowboy fans say this every single year.  2012 was no different.  In this day and age, people use Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, maybe MySpace (only if you are just now learning how to use the Internet) to get the word out.  Twitter and Facebook users worldwide went absolutely crazy, during and after, the Dallas Cowboys win over the New York Giants.  Everyone in the free world knows who won that game, we don’t need to rehash. What is funny is how the Cowboy fanatics react to a win, in this case.  Watch out if they lose!

At the start of every football season, there are always those ever-the-optimistic followers who claim this is the year the Cowboys repeat as SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS.  We all have done it; I’m certainly not leaving myself out of this annual tradition.  When your favorite team wins in week one, the anticipation escalates and the shouts of championship grow louder.  Take a look at Washington Redskin fans and you’ll see the ludicrousy of this type of claim.

Here are some of the tweets from around the nation, during and after game one:

Dallas Cowboys fans: Let’s get real and slow down on Super Bowl talkhttp://bit.ly/QSH3gv  via @newspin

Can the Dallas Cowboys make it to the playoffs this season?    Absolutely.   With a solid game one victory, it isn’t difficult to imagine them with a 3-0 start.  Their 4th game is at home against the Chicago Bears, in a Monday night showdown.  Then they get a bye, perfect timing for a rest after a 4-0 start.  Then it gets tough.  If the Cowboys are 4-0, going into Baltimore Ravens territory, what will the fans be saying then?  It will be pure frenzy!  It’s hard to say, this early, what will happen, but Cowboy fans won’t disappoint on their continued mantra.

In week seven, they’ll visit the Carolina Panthers, then back home for the mighty New York Giants.  That game will be utter chaos if the Cowboys have 0-2 losses.  With a win at home, it would take an act of God to stop the super bowl chants.  Next up, the Atlanta Falcons, the Philadelphia Eagles (an absolute must win), the Cleveland Browns, and then the much-hated, and also over-excited Washington Redskins who believe they are already a shoe-in for Super Bowl XLVII.  Week thirteen brings the Eagles back to Dallas, where it would be icing-on-the-cake to beat these punks.  The last four weeks of the regular season include: Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, and, finish it off with the Redskins.  All of these, yes, every single one are winnable.  The probability of it happening is much lower, but nothing is impossible.

So, keep it up Cowboy fans.  Join the “Dallas Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl” facebook page.  Scream it from the streets.  It sure beats believing your team is going to lose every game.  Why not have faith and optimism?  I do!  Let’s go Cowboys!!!!!!!
