Power Rankings: Gee, Who Is At the Top?

What a weekend in the NFL! Lately, I find myself saying that every Tuesday. Football is more exciting than ever! I’m here to try to make it a little more exciting. Every Tuesday, I’ll be giving you my weekly Power Rankings, only mine are a little different from most. I’ll go deeper, bringing you division by division Power Standings. I’ll include weekly playoff pictures, with three teams from each conference on the outside looking in. I’m sure this will spark lots of debate, but hey, that’s what we come here for! I also want to thank Dan for welcoming MBIIIEFFECT and myself to The Landry Hat team.

*MY POWER RANKINGS AFTER WEEK 3
1. Cowboys
The Boys proved that they can win a highly anticipated game (Browns), a fineness games (Eagles), and most importantly a grunt game (Packers). Looks like the Cowboys can win just about any game, they are the clear cut favorites in the NFL for good reason.

2. Bills
The Bills have been poised for greatness ever since Marshawn Lynch came to town. With Trent Edwards behind Center, this team could be the class of the AFC.

3. Giants
The champs looked like chumps when they struggled to beat the Bengals, but they are still the champs, and they’re still undefeated.

4. Eagles
The Eagles are dangerous, tough, gritty, and mean. They’re everything the Dallas Cowboys are, except undefeated. If their loss hadn’t come from the best team in football, they would be ranked below all 6 undefeated teams.

5. Broncos
Jay Cutler is everything and more than the Broncos could have ever hoped for. Although a blown call keeps them undefeated, they play balls to the wall every down. Did anyone predict that the Broncos would be playing the Bills in the AFC championship game?

6. Titans
The Titans have a stiff defense and a rock hard running attack. I don’t know how convinced I am yet, but they are undefeated.

7. Packers
This team is much better than the Dallas Cowboys made them look, trust me.

8. Steelers
The Eagles beat the Steelers at their own game on Sunday. If the Steelers don’t get Santonio Holmes involved, they will continue to slip.

9. Redskins
The Redskins could easily be the best team in five of the other seven divisions. Unfortunately for them, they are a good team in the great NFC East.

10. Ravens
I’m still not convinced by the Ravens, but this is the lowest I could put an undefeated team. If they can knock off the Steelers on Monday night, I’ll be
convinced.

11. Chargers
The Chargers are a lucky throw and a blown call away from being undefeated. They should stomp up my power rankings from here on out.

12. Panthers
The Panthers are a tough football team. As of right now they are the class of the NFC South

13. Cardinals
The Cardinals can beat up on bad teams, but can they win the tough games? Regardless, they are the front runners in the NFC West. For now.

14. Saints
The Saints are much better than their record shows. They could have beat the Redskins and they should have beat the Broncos. This team can turn it around if they can beat the red hot 49ers.

15. 49ers
Mike Martz has the 49ers offense playing like contenders. The winner of the Saints game will take a huge step forward.

16. Vikings
The Vikings lost two hard fought games, but beating the Panthers was big.

17. Patriots
The Patriots stood strong for two weeks, but I think it’ll be all down hill from here.

18. Jaguars
The Jaguars have an uphill battle, but I still believe in them.

19. Colts
When Peyton Manning looks lost, the Colts look lost. This is not the team from a year ago. They could end up in a season-long-battle with Houston, to keep out of the basement.

20. Falcons
Michael “P.I.T.A.” Vick who? The only Michael that the NFC South is worried about, is Michael “The burner” Turner. This guy’s like a bolder with wheels.

21. Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are a better team when they can pass the ball, but the NFC South looks much stronger than last year.

22. Bears
Winning in Indianapolis was a good start, but loosing close games is bad for any team.

23. Jets
The Jets are off to a bumpy start, but they have lots of talent.

24. Raiders
Lane Kiffin shouldn’t get fired, Al Davis should. If he would back off and let Kiffin do his job, the Raiders would be much better.

25. Dolphins
Bill Parcells didn’t come knocking on Bill Belichiks door Sunday, he hammered it off of the hinges and screamed “Honey I’m home!” to the entire AFC East. This team will only get better with time, Parcells is magic when it comes to rebuilding.

26. Bengals
Were the Bengals pretty good on Sunday, or were the Giants just bad?

27. Seahawks
Beat someone besides the Rams and I’ll move you up.

28. Browns
What a shame.

29. Chiefs
We all expected this, but at least they’re not the Rams.

30. Texans
See the Browns above.

31. Lions
Ten games, Kitna? Really? Ten Games? Win one game before you open your mouth, you make it very hard to feel sorry for the Lions.

32. Rams
I bet the Philadelphia Soul would man handle this “so called” team.
