Dallas Cowboys starting center Andre Gurode will be holding a Celebrity Weekend Event in DeSoto and Dallas, Texas this weekend. For full event details visit http://centerofattention.ticketleap.com. On Saturday, Gurode and his friends will be playing in a Celebrity Kickball Match to benefit the Children’s Medical Center Dallas’ Asthma Management Program. Some of the confirmed guests include Donald Driver, Felix Jones, Patrick Crayton, Demarco Murray, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Kyle Kosier, DeMarcus Ware and many others. NFLPA To Host Rookie Symposium

It was just over a week ago that the NFL announced it was cancelling the Rookie Symposium, but it is not the end for the symposium. Assistant executive director of external affairs for the Players Association, George Atallah, announced that the players association would step up and host the event. In a time where multi-millionaires and billionaires are fighting over a boatload of money and refusing to engage in serious talks and work out there differences, it is time to think about the things that really matter. Today is Memorial Day. It is a time to rememberthe fallen troops that have given their all for our freedoms. They help to make our hobbies and extracurricular activities a possibility and for that we should truly be thankful. Tony Romo Is Now A Married Man

For those of you who are into this kind of thing, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is now officially off the market. He got married to the 25-year-old Candice Crawford last night at Arlington Hall. Many of Romo’s teammates were in attendance, along with owner Jerry Jones who got special permission to attend the ceremony. In total, 600 people were at the wedding. Congratulations to Tony. Now, let’s play some football.

REPORT: Jerry Jones Will Target Safeties In Free Agency

Reports surfaced today on a Pro Football Weekly report that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will target veteran safeties in free agency. It is an obvious move for the team to make after they passed on drafting a safety in the NFL Draft this past April. The safeties who currently hold a spot on the Cowboys roster are Alan Ball, who is expected to actually move back to cornerback this season, Gerald Sensabaugh, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Barry Church and Danny McCray. Dallas Mavericks Advance To NBA Finals

The Dallas Mavericks overcame yet another fourth quarter deficit to pick up a victory in game five over the Oklahoma City Thunder and advance to the NBA Finals.
