Miles Austin Gets Pro Bowl Invitation
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl team. Austin tweeted today, “Heading to hawaii… Got in through the back door but I ain’t complaining!” He joins teammates DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten , Mat McBriar, Jay Ratliff and Andre Gurode in this Sunday’s all-star game in Hawaii. Austin recorded 1,041 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on the season. This is his second straight Pro Bowl appearance.
At the end of the Pittsburgh Steelers victory over the New York Jets in the AFC Championship game, a very interesting site was to be seen. Running back Rashard Mendenhall tackled Ben Roethlisberger and proceeded to celebrate with his quarterback in a “is this what you did to the girl in Georgia?” type fashion. How do you explain the celebration? A camel’s back usually has some… well, just watch for yourself.
Todd McShay Says Prince Amukamara To Cowboys
Todd McShay has done one thing in this life that is a rarity. McShay has released his latest mock draft and surprisingly has agreed with Mel Kiper Jr. on who the Dallas Cowboys should pick with their number nine overall selection in the upcoming draft — Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara. “Defenses field a lot of nickel packages in today’s NFL and the Cowboys need help at corner. Mike Jenkins took a big step backward in 2010, Terence Newman isn’t getting any younger and Orlando Scandrick is a No. 3 corner at best. Amukamara is fluid, has great instincts and anticipation [...]
ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. released his first mock draft for 2011 yesterday, and Cowboys fans should like what they see. Kiper has Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara sliding to number 9 where Dallas can scoop him up. Amukamara has been a favorite among Cowboys fans and many believe that corner is the direction to go in this draft. Kiper writes: A great value here, Amukamara is the best pure ball-hawking corner in the draft. A technician with outstanding instincts, ball skills and anticipation, he immediately provides an upgrade in the Dallas secondary. The Cowboys need help at corner, and [...]

He previously served as a coordinator for the Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders. Ryan also coached the linebackers in New England were he was part of the coaching staff on two Super Bowl winning teams. Rob, who is the twin brother [...]
Dez Bryant Is Going Nowhere
In the past few days, Calvin Watkins raised the question whether or not the Cowboys should consider trading rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant. Watkins said that a team official told him that they would consider trading Bryant if Dallas received an offer. Since the initial report, things have gotten out of hand and people have turned Watkins report into “Cowboys considering trading Dez Bryant.” No, they aren’t. The team official simply said they would consider it and listen to the offer. They aren’t actively seeking a trade. Every team listens to offers for every player on their roster. There is [...]

Should The Cowboys Trade Dez Bryant?
While on ESPN.com, I saw Calvin Watkins ESPNDallas.com article about trading Dez Bryant. I thought when I read the headline that the writer had to be crazy for even bringing it up, however upon reading the article it is not as out there as it sounds.Questions fromformer Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton about Dez Bryant may have shined some light on some issues with Bryant including the fact that he was late to meetings, didn’t know the play book and had a few rants on the sideline. The question of trading Bryant was brought up by asking if the Cowboys could get another 1st round [...]
