Miles Austin Makes First Pro Bowl
Congratulations to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, who made his first Pro Bowl. He joined five other Dallas Cowboys in getting the nod for the Jan. 31 game. The other Cowboys who will be heading to the Pro Bowl are Jason Witten, DeMarcus Ware, Leonard Davis, Andre Gurode and Jay Ratliff. Austin has had an amazing season so far. Like Tony Romo, he was a little-known player that went undrafted. Austin had just 19 catches last season, and he did not start in any game. Also like Romo, Austin makes the Pro Bowl even though he did not begin [...]
Was Tony Romo Snubbed In Pro Bowl Vote?
The question is echoing through the Web: Was Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo snubbed in the Pro Bowl vote? The answer certainly is more difficult to answer than last season. Romo is the only quarterback in Cowboys history of great throwers who has amassed 4,000 yards in a season, and he has done it twice. He has a record low in interceptions with just 8 and has thrown for 24 touchdowns. But the competition this year was truly stellar. Certainly no quarterback deserves more votes than New Orleans Drew Brees, who has a league high passer rating of 109.6. Then [...]
Tony Romo Leads In December
Written by theMBIIIeffect To say that Tony Romo has been good this December is an understatement. He’s been absolutely outstanding. Romo threw his first pick in December this Sunday against the Redskins. It wasn’t even his fault, as Romo hit penguin-handed receiver Roy Williams right in his flippers. In this month, Romo has thrown seven touchdowns to one interception. He’s averaging over 300 yards per game. Guiding the Cowboys to a 2-2 record, a success in the eyes of many Cowboys fans, he’s been the deciding factor. Even in the two losses, to the Giants and the Chargers, Romo had [...]

Dallas Cowboys Win And They Are In Playoffs
There is a lot riding on the Dallas Cowboys game tonight against the Washington Redskins. With the NY Giants losing big-time at Carolina today, a Cowboys victory puts them in the playoffs. It wasn’t long ago when the Redskins almost beat the Cowboys in a 7-6 game that was as boring to watch as the score indicates. A plus for the Cowboys is that the overrated Albert Haynesworth is scared of Andre Gurode and Haynesworth will not play tonight. DeMarcus Ware will battle third-stringer Levi Jones most of the night. The Cowboys need to attack the Redskins fast, and beat [...]
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins Preview
The 9-5 Dallas Cowboys head to FedEx Field on Sunday to play the 4-10 Washington Redskins, with a chance to clinch a playoff spot if the New York Giants lose. The Redskins were destroyed last week against a surging Giants team hanging by a thin thread to make the playoffs. They were beaten so bad that Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell said he thought some players quit trying in the game. That’s blatantly attacking the integrity of his teammates. That doesn’t mean the Redskins are not dangerous. It is a rivalry. This wasn’t the case in the first 7-6 Cowboys win [...]
Written by theMBIIIeffect According to a tweet from a Washington Redskins beat writer, new Dallas Cowboys kicker Shaun Suisham told coach Wade Phillips about the Redskins’ swinging gate fake field goal play Monday night against the New York Giants. Rich_Campbell Dallas HC Wade Phillips: K Shaun Suisham alerted him to the Redskins’ swinging gate fake FG before they ran it vs NYG on Monday night. If this is true, this is big news. Is Suisham out for revenge on his former team? Definitely. Suisham didn’t know that the ‘Skins would run the play on Monday night. He was alerting Phillips [...]
Wade “Cupcake” Phillips Gives Cowboys Christmas Off
By MBIIIEffect On Friday, Cowboys receiver Roy Williams will be able to wake up, find coal in his stocking, then relax and enjoy Christmas with his family. Williams will have that leisure because Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is giving Christmas Day off to his players. “I think you lose a lot [by practicing] on Christmas Day,” Phillips said. “[They have] families, a lot of them have kiddoes and stuff. You take that away from them, you lose a lot more that way than you would having them be there.” With this holiday break, fans can start calling Phillips “Fruitcake” [...]
Was Cowboys Shaun Suisham Signing Move Of A Genius?
Was the Dallas Cowboys signing of Shaun Suisham obvious? Is it the work of a genius? Or will it eventually cost the team big-time down this very important stretch to the playoffs. The Cowboys (9-5) are fighting or a spot and they just released Nick Folk, who made 20-22 kicks last season. Nick Folk kicked TWO 53-yard field goals against the Buffalo Bills for the win (one was discounted because time out was called). In his rookie season, he made the Pro Bowl. Cowboys fans rejoiced: “We finally have a field goal kicker!” And then, all of the sudden, in [...]
Nick Folk Released; Cowboys Snag Shaun Suisham
The Dallas Cowboys released embattled field goal kicker Nick Folk, one day after he missed a 23-yard field goal and almost cost the Cowboys the 24-17 victory over the Saints. The Cowboys quickly signed Shaun Suisham, who ironically was released by the Redskins after he missed a 23-yard field goal. Signing Suisham does not come as a surprise. He had a stellar percentage of field goals made before he missed that 23-yarder against the Saints. The Cowboys release a popular field goal kicker, who in his rookie year made the Pro Bowl. He was selected in the sixth round out [...]
