Sources: Terrell Owens Done In Dallas

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 13 Comments

Two of the NFL’s most insightful rumor sources believe that Terrell Owens‘ days in Dallas are over.
Would this really be a surprise? It most likely is one of the major makeovers the Dallas Cowboys are planning to improve team chemistry and change the whole leadership of the team after a disappointing season and more than a dozen years without a playoff win. It hurts to even say that.
If the Cowboys can trade Owens, maybe a draft day trade, it would be an amazing move for the team, but it is almost certain that teams will just let the Cowboys release [...]

Dallas Morning News Reporter Goes Bonkers On Readers!

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 7 Comments

Slow day in the newsroom for Dallas Morning News writer Jean-Jacques Taylor, who today bashed his readers for failing to help him do his job.
Taylor has been writing some scathing columns about the Dallas Cowboys, and frankly, many readers are just getting tired with it. So, he challenged some of his readers to come up with some positive story ideas that he can write about. When they did, he declined and said he’d write about the charity and foundation work later. He’s stuck on bashing the Boys and if you don’t like it, stop reading. You can read his unusual [...]

Martellus Bennett A Little Less Rich

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 8 Comments

Martellus Bennett’s rapping career came to a screeching halt today.
Unfortunately, his hip-hop You-Tube extravaganza was taken down because the Dallas Cowboys organization blew a lid with all of the “N” and “homo” language the rookie tight end used. Plus, he bragged about all his Jerry Jones Money. Oh man, how dumb.
The DMN reports that Bennett was fined $22,000, or one game check.
Oh, and Bennett apologized today….I think?
“It was just a song.”

Hey, The Cowboys Like Badboys! What About Leroy Hill?

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

By Carden Hedelt aka MBIIIEffect
Seattle linebacker Leroy Hill, found passed out at the wheel of his 1975 Buick Electra in Atlanta this past Saturday morning, has apologized for his actions and their repercussions from his traffic stop.
“I want to apologize to my family, my teammates, the Seahawks organization and fans,” Hill said. “I am embarrassed by the incident Saturday morning and the poor judgment I showed. Please understand my actions were not consistent with the type of person I hope to become.”
I see two things I like here:
1. The guy’s value just went down. We need a linebacker with experience [...]

Dallas Cowboys Consider Fining Martellus Bennett For Profanity-Laced YouTube Video

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

You saw it here first, and now the Dallas Cowboys are considering taking action against the young, rookie tight end Martellus Bennett for his profanity-laced YouTube video.
Bennett used the “N” word and the word that rhymes with Romo, in his rap, while wearing a signed Dallas Cowboys helmet. The entire thing was episode and embarrassing.
You can read more about it here.
On the same day, it was announced that Terrell Owens is getting his own reality show on VH-1. And Michael Irvin has a reality show on the way to find the Cowboys next wide receiver.
What in the hell is going [...]

Giants Fan Now On Prozac

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 10 Comments

[warning: video has foul language]
I don’t think I have ever seen anything like this. But I hope this Giants fan is still alive today. Certainly, no Dallas Cowboys fans acted like this when the Cowboys lost to the Eagles, and that loss was much more embarrassing. I mean, I’d be happy just to have what appears to be a pretty hot chick around me like he has calling him a Pussy.
Dude, get a grip. Seriously. This is just incredibly disgusting!

Martellus Bennett Should Stick With Football

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Dallas Cowboys rookie tight end Martellus Bennett was caught on YouTube apparently showing off his rapping skills–or rather lack of them.
We don’t condone the use of some of the words he uses in his rap down, but it’s a cultural thing we don’t need to get into right now. Known for his goofy side, Bennett does not disappoint in this video.
Did he really get Cowboys players to sign his helmet? That’s just weird, isn’t it?

Baltimore Ravens Players, Owner Blast Jason Garrett

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 12 Comments

Apparently when Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett turned down the head coaching job for the Baltimore Ravens, some took it very personally.
Two of those with hard feelings are Terrell Suggs and owner Steve Bisciotti. There is a rumor out there that one reason Garrett declined to take the Ravens job was because he said there were players who lacked character. I find it hard to believe that he said that and believe the reason he stayed with Dallas was because Jerry Jones offered to pay him head coaching money.
But just the rumor being thrown out there was some of [...]

Who Do Dallas Cowboys Pick With #51?

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 30 Comments

The Dallas Cowboys gave away their first-round draft pick this year to acquire Detroit Lions wide receiver Roy Williams, so the first pick the Cowboys have is No. 51?
So, who should it be? Fantasy Football Jungle analyzed the scenarios for the Cowboys in an easy to understand format, offering all sorts of options. You can check it out here.
All indications are the Cowboys will draft a safety with that first pick.
One possibility is Emmanuel Cook, South Carolina. He’s the fifth ranked safety in the draft, about 5′10″ tall and 210 pounds. His 40-time is a decent 4.47. His high points [...]

Maybe Dallas Cowboys Can Find Backup Quarterback On Michael Irvin’s Reality Show

AUTHOR: thelandryhat | IN: Cowboys | COMMENTS: 8 Comments

Michael Irvin is getting his own reality show on SPIKE television. The basic plot is he is going to find a bunch of weirdos and give them the dream shot of making the Dallas Cowboys team, one of 80 spots.
The idea isn’t a bad one, and I am sure it will get some viewers only because Irvin is a character. The contestants will have some athletic ability; he’s not bringing slobs into the contest. But it likely will still be entertaining seeing a group of guys try to make the team.
But it made me think. Could Irvin find the Cowboys [...]
