The Dallas Cowboys face immense pressure to have a strong 2024 NFL Draft. As of this writing, they've only signed two outside free agents, including new addition Royce Freeman, and the few players they've re-signed aren't needle-movers. Suffice it to say those moves won't go far in terms of offsetting the 10 players they lost in free agency.

As a result of losing in the wild card round, the Cowboys own the No. 24 overall pick. It's widely expected that they'll draft an offensive tackle in round one. Based on the latest round of mock drafts, Oklahoma tackle Tyler Guyton is the consensus favorite for the pick.

While Guyton is the de facto favorite, don't sleep on Duke OL Graham Barton, Arizona tackle Jordan Morgan and Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson as potential targets. Regardless, this is a franchise-altering decision for the Cowboys.

So when will Dallas make the selection? For fans who are busy and can't watch the entire first round, we've got you covered.

What time will the Cowboys be on the clock in the 2024 NFL Draft?

The draft will start on Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. CT. Every team has 10 minutes to make a selection with their first pick. Teams don't always use the allotted 10 minutes, but trades and other factors could delay the round.

Last year, the Cowboys drafted Mazi Smith with the No. 26 overall pick around 10 p.m. CT, or three hours into the first round. With that in mind, fans should be dialed in around 930 p.m. to be safe. Even if that's early, it won't hurt to know which players come off the board right before Dallas is on the clock.

How to watch the 2024 NFL Draft

ESPN, ABC and NFL Network will televise all three rounds live. Cowboys fans can also stream the draft on NFL+ with a subscription. Day two of the draft starts on Friday at 5 p.m. CT with the final round kicking off Saturday at 10 a.m. CT. For folks who don't have cable, FuboTV is offering a free seven-day trial for new users to watch all three days of the draft.

Every Cowboys pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

  • Round 1 - No. 24 overall
  • Round 2 - No. 56 overall
  • Round 3 - No. 87 overall
  • Round 5 - No. 187 (comp pick)
  • Round 6 - No. 216 (comp pick)
  • Round 7 - No. 233 (from Raiders)
  • Round 7 - No. 244

The Cowboys would be smart to use their compensatory picks to trade back up into day two. They could really use another third- or fourth-round pick. Waiting 100 picks between their third and fourth selections is brutal given how many holes this roster has, but that's their fault for trading for Trey Lance and trading a fifth-round pick to move up in last year's draft for cornerback Eric Scott. Jr.

It won't be long now until the Cowboys are on the clock.
