Dak Prescott is entering the most important season of his career in 2024. Not only are there high expectations around the Dallas Cowboys and a "now or never" feeling with Mike McCarthy, but Prescott is also playing for his next contract in the league.

Prescott is a free agent after the 2024 season and has only seen the quarterback market grow since signing his last big deal with Dallas. Whether or not the Cowboys should give Prescott elite quarterback money has become a huge debate in the sports world, although Cowboys fans certainly want to see their quarterback get treated well.

The franchise quarterback added a scary wrinkle to this storyline over the Fourth of July weekend when he was spotted in a walking boot. Prescott and his team quickly went to work to dispel any worries about his foot as it was shortly reported thereafter that he was no longer in the walking boot.

This was an injury scare Cowboys fans didn't need ahead of training camp and as a result, some fans still have their guard up as training camp looms. Thankfully, Prescott is giving fans every reason not to worry, as he showed up at former teammate Tyron Smith's wedding and looked completely unbothered in the process.

Dak Prescott attends former Cowboys teammate Tyron Smith's wedding after injury scare

Tyron Smith spent the last 13 years in Dallas and left behind an undeniable legacy. As an eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, Smith will go down as one of the greatest offensive linemen in team history, even if he was not the most durable toward the end of his tenure.

Smith has played such an important role in Prescott turning into one of the best quarterbacks in the league so of course he was going to go to his wedding. Smith leaving Dallas this offseason may have been a touchy subject this offseason but it is still great to see Prescott supporting his former teammate.

More importantly for Cowboys fans, it is great to see Prescott in the public light looking completely unbothered. It may seem like a small thing but if Dak was truly nursing an injury then he probably would not be in the spotlight as much as he is.

Thus, fans can completely put a bow on the Prescott foot injury storyline. This will go down as a short-lived scare that will have absolutely no impact on Prescott or the Cowboys in 2024.
