2. Isaiah Land, LB, Florida A&M

Despite drafting Texas Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown with the 90th overall pick, the Cowboys remain thin at the linebacker position. With Micah Parsons making the official move to defensive end, Leighton Vander Esch is the only off-ball linebacker the Cowboys have with significant starting experience.

Behind him Damone Clark, Jabril Cox, Overshown, and Devin Harper are the remaining competition for playing time. Even then, Cox hardly logged any defensive snaps last season and Harper figures to replace Luke Gifford as one of Dallas' special teams aces.

Land put up eye popping production during his career at Florida A&M, posting 25.5 tackles for loss and 19 sacks in 2021 as a hybrid edge rusher/linebacker. However, at only 6-3 and 236 pounds, Land will have to prove he can transition to a full time off-ball role for the Cowboys. If Land can stand out on special teams, he could help plug holes there, as a linebacker, and as a sub-package pass rusher as well.
