Final Thoughts

Bijan Robinson is the type of player that teams will hate themselves for passing up on.

Taking running backs in the first round is typically frowned upon in the NFL but Robinson is an exception to this rule. He has all the qualities of being a successful NFL running back on and off the field and would be the perfect fit in Dallas.

Although the Cowboys have Pollard as their clear starting running back, Robinson could be a great replacement if they decide to move on next season. The Cowboys suffered the consequences of Ezekiel Elliott during the back stretch of his time in Dallas as he considerably regressed after signing his extension.

Robinson would be a great insurance plan if Pollard doesn’t perform well or if he asks for too much money in free agency next year. Even if Pollard doesn’t re-sign, they would be a perfect for this season as the Cowboys want to win now and compete for a Super Bowl.

This is the type of move that the Cowboys should make as they have no true holes in their roster and could look to draft the best player available rather than focusing on position.

Stay tuned to see if the star running back will be playing for America’s Team following the draft on April 27.
