3. Ezekiel Elliott 2016-2022

Ezekiel Elliott was recently released by the Cowboys less than a month ago. He has yet to find a new home there and has even been talking of a return to Dallas. Zeke was drafted 4th overall in 2016 by the Cowboys. The talk at the time was between Zeke and Jalen Ramsey. The pick of Elliott worked out in the short term, the Cowboys won 28 games in Zeke’s first three seasons with two playoff appearances and one playoff win. Zeke was an All-Pro in his first and third seasons, but shortly after that, his play declined. He is no longer the player he use to be but Elliott is the best running back the Cowboys have had since Emmitt Smith.

2. Micah Parsons 2021-present

Micah Parsons was selected 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, he is in this spot simply off production and potential. Parsons has two pro bowls and two All-Pro selections since being drafted. He has also finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting in both of his NFL seasons. He is widely considered to be one of the best players in the NFL. At 23 years old he is on a trajectory that will land him in Canton, Ohio one day.

1. Zack Martin 2014-present

Zack Martin was drafted 16th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. At the time there was talk about Martin or Johnny Manziel being the pick for the Cowboys. In nine seasons Martin has made eight pro bowls and been selected as an All-Pro eight times. He could retire today and be a lock for the Hall of Fame. The most impressive stat about Martin is that he has more Pro Bowl selections than he does holding penalties. A member of the 2010s All-Decade Team, Zack Martin was a lock for the number one spot.
