Javon Hargrave, Defensive Tackle

Projected Contract: 3 yrs — $18.33m avg/yr$36m guaranteed, $55m total

If the Cowboys want to stop the run, they must stop penny-pinching and spend money on a worthwhile defensive tackle. With DaRon Payne being franchise tagged by the Commanders, Hargrave is the next best option.

Dallas has seen firsthand how much of a game-wrecker he can be during his time with the Eagles, and if you have a chance to upgrade at defensive tackle while at the same time weakening your biggest divisional threat you take it. Hargrave’s size and quickness off the snap is something the Cowboys haven’t really seen since they had Jay Ratliff on the roster.

It’s time to finally use their resources to shore up the weakest area of this defense and turn it into a strength with a player of Hargrave’s caliber.
