Cowboys vs 49ers: Weather Outlook

Location: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California

Stadium Type: Open stadium, natural grass

Predicted Forecast: High of 61, low of 39, partly sunny, winds up to 13-14mph, 2% chance of precipitation

The narrative of the Cowboys not being able to play on grass, as ridiculous of a story as it was in the first place, has been put to rest. They head to play on the real stuff again this weekend in San Fran. This weather should be ideal for football and is a second week that the Cowboys avoid rain, snow, wet, and cold.

One thing to keep an eye on is how the grass may have played into Brett Maher’s kicking rollercoaster. Dallas reporter Britt Bowen discussed the surface with punter Bryan Anger and believes he should be just fine on the 49ers’ grass.

With kickoff at 6:30 PM ET, this gets going mid-afternoon at 3:30 PM PT and will be sunny, in the 50s, and minimal wind. This is going to be a fantastic game of historic franchises and the sunlight should only add to an already pleasing matchup.
