Cowboys vs Commanders: Weather Outlook

Location: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland

Stadium Type: Open stadium, natural grass

Predicted Forecast: High of 44, low of 27, a morning shower and mostly cloudy, winds up to 12-13mph, 62% chance of precipitation

FedEx Field is known league-wide as one of the worst fields in the NFL. It is just an overall sad thing that an NFL team calls this home. I would say that the playing surface is a lot like most Midwest high school fields after a rainy game but that would be an injustice to those high school grounds crews.

This gets things a bit interesting. The field is going to be wet and likely a bit slick. The very last thing the Cowboys can afford is to have any one of their starters tweak a muscle or fall victim to an extremely poor playing surface.

The Cowboys will likely be more than okay running the ball and churning this clock with health as their biggest opponent. An early lead to burn clock and limit some guys’ reps could be monumental heading into the playoffs.
