4. The defense is becoming very concerning

The loss of two starting cornerbacks, LVE, Jonathan Hankins, and the illness going around has really plagued this defense. So much so, its becoming a legitimate talking point, as this defense has struggled mightily as of late.

They allowed 27 points to the Eagles offense, while allowing 34 to the Jaguars offense over just the past two weeks. They also allowed 23 points to a less-than-bad Houston Texans offense.

The pass rush also has not gotten home over the past three weeks, totaling just one sack over that span. They have still been solid at forcing pressure, but they just can’t seem to get the quarterback to the ground. For instance, Micah Parsons has 20 pressures over the past two weeks, but just one sack.

The defense allowed over 500 yards of offense to the Jags and over 440 yards to the Eagles with Gardner Minshew. This is odd, and not a great sign. Hopefully Dan Quinn gets this unit back in shape by the time the playoffs come, otherwise this team will have to rely on winning shootouts every week.
