3. Cowboys Defense Finds Success Against Eagles

The Eagles aren’t crazy enough to put their injured quarterback on the field against a Cowboys defense that sacked him four times the last time they met … are they?

I don’t think so, which means the Cowboys are going to be dealing with a good but very beatable Gardner Minshew II this week, and the Cowboys are going to take advantage of this. Minshew II is another mobile quarterback who can give the Cowboys fits if they aren’t playing the edges well to contain him, but he isn’t as athletic as Hurts is.

Minshew II is also a quarterback who tends to hold onto the football a bit longer than Hurts, which has led to him being sacked 65 times in his career.

That’s where the Cowboys will find their success. The pressure they will be able to put on Minshew II in the pocket, matched with his hesitancy, will lead to sacks, bad throws, and turnovers for a Cowboys team looking to get quarterbacks on the ground more then they have the last few weeks.

Game Prediction: Cowboys register 6 sacks and 2 turnovers against the Eagles
