The 2006 Cowboys welcomed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to their home stadium; however, they were certainly not nice Thanksgiving hosts. In what was just Romo’s fifth career start, he had his turkey, and then some, as he destroyed the Buccaneers for 306 yards on just 22 completions and five touchdowns, without a single interception.

This game would truly be Romo’s coming out party, as he would go on to cement himself as the starter for the next nine years and would take his team to the playoffs in his first season as a starter. However, unfortunately, we all know what happened next, but at least we have this amazing Thanksgiving memory to look back on!
