1. Jake Ferguson, Tight End

After Dalton Schultz was a surprise scratch in Week 6, rookie tight end Jake Ferguson stepped in and played very well. The rookie caught four passes for 40 yards and one touchdown. Even when Schultz returns, Ferguson should continue to be used in the offense.

The Cowboys have the luxury of a very good tight end corps so they might as well use them all. With Schultz a free agent after this season, the fourth-round rookie looks prepared to fill that role. Dallas has done a great job of reloading at tight end. It started with Jason Witten then to Blake Jarwin, Schultz, and now Ferguson.

The play of the former Wisconsin product is giving America’s Team good reason to not re-sign Schultz. Ferguson looks primed to take over TE1 in 2023, and the Cowboys should continue to give him ample opportunities to prepare him for that this year.
