2. Cowboys Resurrect Old Game Plan

We know this Eagles’ defense is a tough one to run against especially when trying to run between the tackles. So look for the Cowboys to use running plays that worked well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an effort to wear down this defensive line and make it easier for them to gain yards between the tackles.

For this to happen, Pollard will have to get more reps this week so the Cowboys can use his speed to get to the outside and then use Elliott to gain the tough yards and in the red zone.

This tactic was very effective when they played the Buccaneers last season and should be just as effective in this game against the Eagles. The Cowboys don’t want to allow Fletcher Cox and Co. to stay fresh so making them chase running backs will start to tire them out faster. A perfect time for Elliott to come in and use his physical style to pound the rock and break their will.

Game Prediction: Both Elliott and Pollard go over 70 yards.
